Embroidery is in the cloth. Wash this hoodie for three winters and the crest will look the same as it did on day one — because there’s nothing on the surface to wear away.

• Green, gold and red — the colours carried across the continent, and the colours of the Senegalese flag

Where It Comes From

The Baye Fall follow Cheikh Ibra Fall, a Wolof nobleman who renounced his claim to power in 1883 to serve Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba through labour rather than scholarship.

His teaching — that honest work is itself a form of worship — built an economy, a visual identity and a way of living that still runs from Touba to Brooklyn, Paris and Milan.

Three Ways to Wear the Crest

This emblem appears on three pieces in the collection, and the difference is deliberate:

• The Champion Tie-Dye hoodie carries it small and high on a Champion Reverse Weave with a mineral wash — the most premium, the most discreet.
• This one carries it large and centred on solid fleece — the everyday version, the one you reach for most.
• The Gold Leaf Crest hoodie takes it oversized and printed in gold, scattering into light at the edges.

Care

Machine wash cold, inside out. Hang to dry or tumble dry low. Do not bleach. Do not iron directly over the embroidery — press from the reverse if needed. Washing inside out protects the stitching.

Which Colour

Black — maximum contrast. The green, gold and red read at full strength.

Maroon and purple — richer bases that let the gold in the crest sit warmly rather than jump off the fabric.

Carbon grey heather — the most neutral, the easiest to wear daily with anything.
