Why Strip It Back
Because the reference doesn’t need help.
The patchwork inside those letters comes from a garment built entirely from mismatched scraps, worn deliberately in a society where fabric quality announces social standing. Adding a slogan on top of that would be explaining a thing that already speaks.
This is the version for people who already know — or who’d rather be asked than told.
The Most Wearable One
Practically, this is the piece in the collection that goes with everything.
The design sits on the chest and stops there. No sleeves covered in print, no large graphic taking over the front, no gold. You can wear it with anything and it won’t fight your outfit.

What Ndiakhass Is
Cloth assembled from offcuts — scraps from a tailor’s floor, worn clothing cut down, fabric donated by others. Irregular by nature, never twice the same.
The Baye Fall wear it as a statement: what I own tells you nothing about who I am. It comes from Cheikh Ibra Fall, a Wolof nobleman who renounced his claim to power in 1883 and built a movement on the idea that honest work is itself a form of worship.

Care
Machine wash cold, inside out. Hang to dry or tumble dry low. Do not bleach. Do not iron directly over the print — the patchwork detail flattens under direct heat.
Which Colour
Black — the patchwork colours read at their brightest. The safest choice.
Forest and military green — the earth tones let the print sit into the garment rather than jump off it. Quieter, and the easiest to wear daily.
Maroon and purple — richer, more deliberate. These read as a choice rather than a default.
